Welcome to my website.

Are you passionate about martial arts? If so, then this is the right place to be.

Hello, you can call me the martial arts guy. I created this website because I love the martial arts, and as a guy who loves the martial arts, I think everyone should know the benefits you can get from practicing them. Martial arts is more than just fighting. Whether you want to become a professional fighter, spar with friends for fun, find a new form of stress relief, learn self-defense, get into good physical shape, or simply find a new hobby, you may discover that learning martial arts can benefit you in more ways than one. If you're thinking that the martial arts still isn't for you, you should know that the martial arts encompasses a wide variety of fighting styles. There is boxing, kickboxing, Taekwondo, Muay Thai, Karate, Jujutsu, mixed martial arts, Aikdo, Tai Chi, and many, many more.

Once you find a style you like, (or perhaps you've already started practicing?), it's important to know that despite the benefits you can get from them, the martial arts are physically taxing and sometimes dangerous sports. You should always practice martial arts in a safe environment. Ideally, your place of practice would be a large open area, such as a gym or yard. If you're practing inside of your home, make sure the space is clear of objects you could trip over such as cords, furniture, toys, and children. In order to practice martial arts, you need enough space to safely maneuver. You don't want to break anything, or worse, hurt yourself or someone else!

Another overlooked aspect of practing martial arts is equipment. While equipment is not necessary for all forms of martial arts, good equipment can help you enhance your fighting skills while keeping you and your sparring partners protected. If you practice boxing, for example, boxing gloves and arm pads are a must. I personally recommend to everyone who is interested in martial arts to at least get arm pads, elbow pads, and of course, knee pads. If the form of martial arts you practice is heavy into grappling, then a body protecter or a chest guard would be a good idea too. If you like to spar, you're going to get hurt a little, it's just part of the sport, but by putting safety precautions into place, you can avoid serious or permanent injury.
